Marketing plan for Student Art Sale

Monday
Goal: Create curiosity before the sale and show proof of new products, not just announce the sale.
Execution: Posted 2 behind-the-scenes Stories while the team was cutting and heat-pressing the new tote bags using the new equipment. I shot on iPhone, edited in Instagram, and posted same-day to keep it raw and timely.
Why it worked: Instead of a generic “come to our sale” flyer, I showed the process, people could see the bags being made, which made them want to come see them in person.

Result: 748 accounts reached in 24 hours — 370 and 378 views per Story, with 80.5% non-followers. That proved we were reaching beyond our existing audience.
Tuesday
Tuesday — Launch Day
First Reel + Momentum Push
Goal: Turn Monday’s curiosity into foot traffic on opening day and keep momentum going after our new equipment post.
Execution: Launched the account’s first ever Reel in the morning, then immediately reshared that same Reel to Stories with peer to peer text. Feed for reach, Story for urgency. Same asset, two placements, zero extra shoot time while I was running the table.

Reel Caption:

Story reshare text same day as posted:
Graphic Design club here! Student Art Sale happening rn we made cool stuff come see + shop!

Result: 1,410 views on the Reel in 48h, 496 views on the Story reshare, reposted by SWC main Instagram. Showed students the club is active, present and making things.
Thursday Day 3- Close
(Day 3) — Close: Posted an additional Story on the final day to sustain momentum. No screenshot captured, as I was serving as Club President and simultaneously helping at the table, gathering documents for voucher reimbursements, and running marketing in real time.
Results:
• Monday Stories reached 748 accounts with 80.5% non-followers
• Documented Stories totaled 1,244+ views (370 + 378 + 496)
• First Reel on the account earned 1,410+ organic views in 48 hours, the top post at the time
• Increased visibility contributed to higher sales than the previous semester across the Tuesday to Thursday sale
Recap:
With the sale coming up fast, we had good momentum after sharing our new equipment. I put together a quick action plan focused on three goals: promote the club, drive traffic to the table, and lift sales. The plan turned curiosity into foot traffic and conversations at the table, and ended with higher sales than the previous semester. The Reel was reposted by Southwestern College’s main Instagram, which amplified our reach and helped showcase the new equipment and student work.
